Aftercare

1. Remove the bandage after 3-4 hours. If Sticker bandage, remove after 3-5 Days. After the bandage is removed please do not rewrap your tattoo. If Sticker bandage comes off prematurely, continue healing process as if used with typical saran wrap.

2. After removing bandage, wash the tattoo gently with warm water and antibacterial soap.  Preferably a soap with dye or fragance. DO NOT scrub when washing your tattoo at any time during the healing process. Wash your tattoo with your clean hands, do not use a washcloth or loofah.

3. Once the tattoo is completely dry (after waiting 30 minutes or so, Apply a very small amount and rub it in, then dab excess off with a clean paper towel. Use FRAGRANCE FREE lotion such as Aveeno, Luberderm, Cetaphil. You can also use aquaphor or similar ointment. DO NOT use neosporin. DO NOT oversaturate your tattoo with the lotion or ointment, this can cause for irritation which can lead to infection.

Apply the ointment or lotion 2-3 times a day for 10-14 days.

4. If using sticker bandage, the bandage can fill up with plasma, blood and ink. This is normal, but remove bandage if there is an excess of fluid. You can shower in the bandage and you may place sunscreen over the bandage, Refrain from sweating or working out in the bandage as it will cause it to fill with sweat and come off. Do not bathe, soak or submerge your body part with bandage, or for the entire time of the healing process of your tattoo. Your tattoo is an open wound.

5. Wear loose, preferably cotton clothing over the fresh tattoo.

6. After a few days, the tattoo will begin to form flaky scabs that will fall off on their own. DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH AT YOUR TATTOO. Keep it moisturized and the scabs will slough eventually. Once again, they will be the color of the tattoo. It normally takes 2-4 weeks for a tattoo to completely heal.

7. Avoid exposing your tattoo to direct sunlight and tanning beds while healing. After your tattoo is HEALED always apply sunscreen to your tattoo or keep it covered to prevent your tattoo from fading.

8. Lastly, reactions can occur to the sticker wrap. Reactions can also occur to certain ink colors. If you find a rash developing near or under the sticker wrap take it off immediately and wash the area gently. This can occur for people who may find themselves allergic to adhesives or nromal bandages. Feel free to reach out for any other questions and concerns and remember to send healed pics!
